Take part in this initiative, in which, in collaboration with people with disabilities at the entity, you will contribute to improving the facilities of APAFAM's recycling center in Lozoyuela, Madrid, with the aim of facilitating recycling and circular economy efforts.
What will your role be as a volunteer?
Volunteers will carry out plastic collection efforts and help improve and maintain the facilities of APAFAM's recycling center.
No special skills are required for this activity, just your willingness and your eagerness to help.

APAFAM is a small association located in Madrid's Sierra Norte, where over 42 municipalities are serviced. Since 1994, it has developed different services to meet the needs of people with disabilities and their families, such as the Sierra Norte occupational centre or the Loyozuela recycling centre.
Comfortable footwear, preferably with ankle protection and a raised rubber sole to prevent slipping. Trousers and long sleeves to avoid rubbing against vegetation and insect bites. Use plasters in case of chafing from footwear. Light snacks and drink, preferably fruit, candied fruit, or unsalted nuts, to snack on. The use of sunglasses and sunscreen is advisable, even if it's not summer.
